This gel for curly is awesome! Works well on dark hair WITHOUT the flaky white stuff at the end of the day. It is a flexible hold, but it keeps the look in place. Tried this on thick hair and it stayed all day. Also used this on naturally curly hair and this holds curls without giving them the crunchy feel. It's so difficult to find ONE gel that handles both hair types, but this gel was amazing for both!

I have black thin curly hair and have been switching between gel brands for years. I found this product amazing! My hair is less frizzy and it holds my shape nicely. A little - size of a quarter - goes a long way for me. My routine is I use it while my hair is damp after towel drying. Then while my hair is still a little damp, I put this through my hair. I try to coat ever section of my hair for full/even control, a dollop per section. I also use a diffuser to blow dry along with this. This stuff is FANTASTIC! It tames my frizz and manages my curls without weighting them down.

I would definitely recommend this for African women with thick hair. I also use this gel for curly hair in my daughter’s hair. This is the only product that defines her curls and leaves it frizz free. It's not sticky and is also great for edges, it’s not damaging to hair at all, and it easily washes out. This stuff is great! We use it every day !!

After reading tons of reviews, I decided to try this product. I have 3b/3c hair. I love this gel and so does my hair. It leaves my hair moisture with a shine without the flakiness, crunchiness and heaviness of other gels. . I am pretty sensitive to fragrance, and this didn't bother me. I put the curly gel in my hair after conditioning and rinsing, and combed it thru. I bump two times in my hand and coated them evenly throughout my hair. I diffused my hair, and my curls became bouncy, shiny, and defined, I find it works better on my wavy curvy hair than any gel I have tried, and I've tried a lot. No flakes and no residue... love it!

The best method is making my hair soaking wet then i put the product in my hair, it makes it so easy, soft, and my curls are shine, soft, and not frizzy. I found exactly what i was looking for. Great results for my black, dry, frizzy, curly hair. Using this nutritive curly gel combine with the African nutritive hair shampoo and the leave-in conditioner, I stopped damaging and drying out my hair. After washing and conditioner I pump three times over the palm of my hands and rub the gel in my hands, then using my fingers I apply the gel only at the ends of my hair, that’s it… my hair has really improved with all nutritive ingredients from this products…I am so happy with the results…
